Fish and Chips

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 400 ml cold beer (brew moon pilsner)
  • Guarnard Fish
  • 200g Makikihi Straight Cut Fries

Tartare sauce

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp chopped capers
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 tbsp chopped bone pickles
  • Salt
  • Parsley

Instructions

Step 1

Mix self raising flour with cold beer and set aside.

Step 2

Dip your choice of fish into the beer batter and gently placed into the fryer. Fry until golden brown.

Step 3

While the fish is in the fryer, add the tartare sauce by combining mayo, chopped capers, shallot, bone pickles and salt.

Step 4

Fry chips until golden brown, add in salt and toss well.

Step 5

Assemble the dish with tartare sauce on the side, chips on the bottom and fish on top. Enjoy!
